Marriott International – FAM Trip 2018 to BAKU
September, 2018: GSA Marriott International Pakistan, recently organized its first ever FAM trip to BAKU comprising of its top eight travel agents in collaboration with Gulf Air and Travelport. The journey of “LEARN with FUN” started when the top leaders of the travel industry left the Jinnah International Airport and Allama Iqbal International Airport early morning on 28th Sep, 2018.
The event was hosted by Mr. Ahmed Hassan (Sales Manager – GSA Marriott International) accompanied by Mr. Faisal Qadeer (Sales Manager – Gulf Air). Renowned Travel Consultants like Mr. Noor Muhammad (AEG Travels), Mr. Ali Akber (Target Travels), Mr. Adil A Sheikh (JAS Travels), Mr. Rashid Wahab (Dynamic Travels), Mr. Shafqat (London Bridge), Mr. Ali Jamali (Quality Aviation) Mr. Saad Polani (Polani Travels) actively participated towards making this trip memorable. JW Marriott Absheron BAKU and Autograph Collection Boluvard BAKU warmly welcomed the group in their extravagantly lavish hotels and offered high end customer services which made the guests stay excited and momentous. The guests were indulged in different and unique team building activities which helped them to explore the city in a unique manner. Cherry on top, on the way back, the group members also got an opportunity to visit the exquisite Le Meredian, Bahrain and experience their ornate services.

GEC & TPL Joint Road Shows 2018
Global E-Comm, a leading E-commerce services provider to the Travel Industry in collaboration with TPL Insurance, one of the pioneering travel insurance company in Pakistan, recently organized series of Product Road Shows for trade partners in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.
The purpose of the joint road shows was to educate travel agents about TPL insurance products and offerings through TIMS. Mr. Khurram Shad – Head of Insurance Global eComm and other senior sales executive briefed about the importance of travel insurance and its different packages of TPL.

Strategic Agreement signed between GEC and TPL Insurance
Global e-Commerce (GEC) – a leading E-commerce services provider to the Travel Industry, entered into a strategic agreement with TPL Insurance Limited – An insurance company with the heritage of providing innovative insurance solutions and the only insurance company offering ‘direct settlement’ to its’ Travel Insurance customers along flexible coverage packages. The technical cooperation of GEC with TPL Insurance will further reinforce the consumption of travel insurance in Pakistan. Under this strategic agreement, travel agencies, which rely on GEC solutions, can use Travel Insurance Management System (TIMS) to sell TPL Insurance’s ‘Travel Policies’ directly. C.E.0 GEC Mr. Ali Naqi Taqi was also present at the ceremony along with, Mr. Azam Sultan – Director GEC, Mr. Shaheen Premani – C.O.O GEC, Mr. Muhammad Sabir – Sr. Regional Manager South, KPK & AF GEC and also Chairman TPL Corp, Mr. Jameel Yusuf S.St., along CEO TPL Insurance – Mr. Saad Nissar with Syed Athar Abbas, and Kashif Hasan from TPL Insurance.
Commenting on the signing ceremony, Mr. Ali Naqi Taqi – CEO, Global e-Commerce, said, “This partnership will leverage on our mutual strengths for the benefit of the traveler.” TP=L Insurance expects significant gain from this agreement. Marriott Workshop 2016
Global E-commerce, GSA for Marriot international in Pakistan, organized series of workshop to create brand awareness of Marriott reward program within hospitality trade partners and travel agencies in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Marriott Reward Program, Meetings Imagined, Mobile Check in and Meetings Service App (MSA) were highlighted at the event. Mr. Shaheen Premani – (Group Senior Vice President – Global E-Commerce), also attended the workshop. Ms. Rabia Babar – (Head of Sales Marriot Intl MEA), discussed different aspects of reward program during the workshop which was attended by more than 60 participants from the hospitality trade and travel agencies. Discussion in the workshop included Meeting Imagined, which described different customizable ways a meeting can be arranged, Mobile Check-in App that helps our guest to check-in before time from airport or their way to hotel. MSA App was also introduced to our guest in which our users can order any Marriott services during their meetings.
Mr. Shaheen Premani – (Group Senior Vice President – Global E-Commerce), shared his reviews that , “During these rapidly changing times, it is important to have complete grip on brands that are market driven and conform to current consumer requirements. Global Customer Appreciation Week 2016
Global E Comm Services (Pvt), ltd, GSR of Marriott International, on the celebration of Global Customer Appreciation Week – 2016, organized series of events for their valued clients and customers in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The event was organized as a “THANKS GIVING”, for its primary clients who brought great success and value to the company in the year 2016 and we are looking forward for the same bond in upcoming years. The First activity of the Global Appreciate Week included visits to our corporate clients where Marriott giveaways were presented to them for their tremendous support throughout the year. In Islamabad and Lahore Bowling Tournaments were organized on 10th & 12th of November 2016 for the customers. Winners were rewarded with gold, silver and bronze medals.
Further Marriott giveaways were presented to all participants. In Karachi the event took place on 13th November 2016 where a Beach Volleyball tournament was arranged. The event carried thrilling competitions amongst the teams, where all the teams played their best to outdo other, showing great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. At the end, Winners and runners up were awarded with gold and silver medals followed by lunch and group photography session.
